There are two major underwater hotels in Asia. The foremost underwater hotel is Crescent Hydropolis in Dubai. Dubai is renowned all over the world for its spellbinding architecture. Hydropolis is regarded as the first underwater hotel in the world. It lies in the Arabian Gulf and in close proximity to Jumeirah beach. The hotel is owned by the crown prince of Dubai. Hydropolis is a revolutionary hotel. The hotel inspires awe among its guests. Concrete and steel have been used in the hotel’s construction. There is a perfect blend of land and water experience. The hotel is spread over an area of 260 hectares.

Of the two underwater hotels in Asia, the second one is Conrad Maldives in the Maldives Islands. The hotel is situated five meters below sea level. This luxury resort in Maldives features Ithaa, which is an undersea restaurant. The wine bar, too, is situated beneath water, with an impressive collection of 800 wines and 100 varieties of cheese. Ithaa is inspires awe and is breathtaking. The swirling fish and undulating coral will make one stop in their tracks.

The restaurant is situated in Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, from where it gets its name. The restaurant has a capacity of 12 seats. The restaurant is being converted to a private suite for a day in order to celebrate its anniversary. Champagne dinner and breakfast will be provided.

Ithaa is one of the underwater hotels encapsulated by Plexiglass. A spiral staircase allows you to descend to the restaurant. Needless to say, the views are breathtaking. The restaurant specializes in fusion cuisine, which is a mix of local cuisine with a dash of western flavors. The hotel offers 180 degree views of the coral reef and marine life.
