    Banteay Srei- The Citadel Of Woman
    Banteay Srei is a Hindu temple that was constructed in the early 10th century. It is a worth visiting place. Location: The temple is located at a distance of around 37 km from the very famous Angkor wat in the city of Angkor Thom. Structure: The temple is surrounded by the low walls. The walls of temples are made out of the deep red colored sandstone. The meaning of Banteay Srei is “Citdel of Women” or the “citadel of beauty”. The designs that are carved on the temple are very delicate. It is believed that such a delicate design is possible only to the woman’s hand. The walls of the main building are well-conserved.
